Safe, reassuring support throughout the night

Overnight Care at Home with Your Care Solutions

For many families, knowing that a loved one is safe and supported throughout the night is one of their greatest sources of anxiety. Whether it is a concern about falls, a need for regular nighttime assistance, or simply the distress of being alone in the dark, overnight care provides the reassurance that someone professional, calm, and familiar is always on hand. At Your Care Solutions, our Overnight Care service is available across Warrington and Halton, providing two distinct options to suit different needs.

Who benefits from overnight care?

Overnight care is appropriate in a wide range of situations. It is particularly beneficial for people with dementia who may become confused or distressed at night, those recovering from surgery or illness who need regular check-ins, individuals at risk of falls who need assistance getting to the bathroom, and people who experience significant anxiety about being alone overnight.People with dementia who become unsettled at nightThose recovering from surgery or illnessIndividuals at risk of falls or needing nighttime personal carePeople who feel anxious or unsafe being alone overnight

Sleep-in care

Our sleep-in service means a care worker stays in the home overnight, resting while the client sleeps but available to assist if needed. This arrangement is ideal for people who mostly sleep through the night but want the reassurance of knowing someone is there if they need help. The presence of a familiar, trusted face can significantly reduce anxiety and improve sleep quality for both the client and their family.

Waking night care

Our waking night service means the care worker remains awake and active throughout the night, providing regular support as needed. This is the right choice for clients who need frequent nighttime assistance – whether for bathroom visits, personal care, repositioning, medication administration, or managing the confusion and distress that can accompany dementia at night.

Supporting safe bedtime and morning routines

Our overnight care workers can assist with the full bedtime routine – helping with personal hygiene, getting ready for bed, taking evening medications, and settling comfortably for the night. In the morning, they can help with getting up, washing, dressing, and preparing breakfast, ensuring a positive and unhurried start to the day.

Flexible and responsive to changing needs

The level of overnight support needed can change as a person's condition evolves. We regularly review overnight care arrangements and adjust them in response to changing needs, ensuring the right level of support is always in place. Switching between sleep-in and waking night care, or adjusting the frequency of visits, is straightforward as circumstances change.

Peace of mind for the whole family

For family members who live with or near a loved one, providing overnight care themselves can be exhausting and unsustainable. Our Overnight Care service gives families the opportunity to rest properly, knowing that their loved one is in safe, professional hands throughout the night. Many families find that this single change makes a transformative difference to their own health and wellbeing.
